Going Up or Going Down?

We are in a certain generation where the opinion of others is like a roaring thunder that enraptures every vulnerable soul. Everything has to have relevance to what is trending and most followed. These opinions have become loud voices.

These loud voices surround us. Voices that dictate the standards of this world. It somehow has become a culture. Those voices will get you to listen to your wants which are awakened by what you see from others. Those standards seem right as they appear because you see everyone else is pursuing them. Getting a new car, a new house, the latest gadgets, or even eyeing that promotion. To sum it all up, we want to achieve success. We are driven to achieve bigger, higher, and better things in every possible way and time. Aiming to get more achievements, more connections, and more opportunities to be popular, relevant, and powerful. I don't want to be misconstrued about these things. Aiming for success is not bad, but are we positioning ourselves on the right path to getting it? What is your intention of achieving it?

Everyone wants to be popular.

Everyone wants to be relevant.

Everyone wants to be powerful.

Why?

What do you have to offer? You look and sound just like everyone else.

Do you really want to be someone who leads? Do you really want to impact the world?

That being so...

STOP BEING LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.

STOP CONFORMING TO THE PATTERNS OF THIS WORLD.

Be the one who doesn't care about what other people do, think, post, or say.

Be the one who stands for something.

Be the one who knows God.

Be the one who knows their identity in Christ.

Be someone who has more to offer than what this world can provide.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2 NIV
