A New Hope for a New Beginning

"When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)

Wrong decisions unleashed regret. Then when we let Him work on
it His Guidance straightened the path. Failures that weakened self-esteem. Through His Acceptance, we were able to back into our feet. The broken trust resulted in doubt and insecurity. Through His  Confidence and Love, we became whole again.
Persecutions that brought painful marks. Then through His gift of Forgiveness and Faith, we gained courage and endurance. Deceptions uproared resentment, yet through His Word, we found the truth. Lies crept in hate and anger and by His unfailing grace and unfathomable wisdom we found assurance and victory. The year 2016 might have been a 100- story bungee jumping ride, yet the new year is offering new hope and a fresh start.
Every time a new year begins I am always excited to hear the New Year Sermon. Subsequently, our Church senior pastor delivered the message and according to him, there are two things that we can choose from regarding how we can live our 2017. First, we can waste it away by sitting around worrying and blaming ourselves for the things we failed to accomplish last year. Second, we can decide to maximize every opportunity this New Year brings us. Yes indeed! The path that we are going to choose still relies on us. Definitely, we'll choose to make a decision to maximize our time for God.
Due to so much excitement, we are crowded with resolutions and plans. So if we want to make the year right, it simply means starting it right.
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:3
Let's know that God is in the business of changing our plans to His plan, resulting in something much better than I could hope for as long as I commit myself.
